Command & Control exemple : ARMIR, 11/15/1942 (in English)
1 August 2021, by VincentThis example comes from a solo game of OCS CB, scenario 7.2. In mid-November 1942, the Russian reserves are moving to cross the Don. The Italian Army (ARMIR) faces it.
The Armata Italiana in Russia (ARMIR) is composed from: XXXV Corpo d’Armata (35(Fast)) Corpo d’Armata alpino (Alpini), II Corpo d’Armata (2), outside the zone, in rear area,
for 7 Infantry Divisions, 1 Cavalry Division, and diverse independent units.
Note: The Italian HQs of the ARMIR may each command three Italian Divisions (...) -
Front Transcausien (OCS CB)
FAQ
6 juin 2021, par Vincent> Many german armies can not form area of operations because they are more than 6 hex away -and they will be during the next 2 months as they can not move- from the front.
No need for the army counters (and other counters) to stay inside their own zone of operation ; they may stay behind it without any problem. The problems are coming when units are in other armies’ zone of operation.
> May be we should to have some kind of advantage if the AOK Hq is into the zone of operations ?)

4. Army’s and Front’s operation zones
9 March 2021, by Vincent4.1. Concepts The armies are created to command and control units in some parts of the theater of war. They are consolidating the command of units and are not supposed to be overlapped. The enemy loves to attack between two armies (i.e., German at Sedan in May, 40, between the French 9e and 2e armées)

1. Command & Control
9 March 2021, by Vincent1.1. Advantages Makes sure that all HQs are used to conduct troops instead of letting them be used as auxiliary units performing anti-aircraft or bridging tasks. Helps during the Movement Phase by limiting the number of choices at each step. This is especially for new players or those wanting to keep better control of OCS games. Reduces the complexity of dealing simultaneously with extenders moves, HQs, units, supply ranges, ZOCs, etc. for a large number of units. Provides OCS with more (...)
